Free BCP ReviewWe are offering a free Business Continuity Plan review, there are a few things to check before you send the plan for review. It is important that you remove all information that could allow any individual, customer or client to be identified, check below for the other things that should be removed.
01. Personal Information
Any personal information at all, most commonly this information would appear on the contacts pages of your plan.
You should vet the plan to ensure that it does not appear else where,it is easy to let these things slip through when having a plan reviewed.
You should note that personal information also covers work telephone numbers and email addresses so redact these as well.
02. Proprietary Information
Any information that you would consider as confidential and for internal use only, this would cover a number of aspects.
Things like usernames and obviously passwords, host names and IP addresses would also fall under this heading.
Customer and Client names and contact details should also be redacted from the plan before it is shared with us for review.
03. Other Information
Redact any direct information surrounding infrastructure, especially where you would consider it to be any kind of risk.
Any commercially sensitive information should be redacted, along with specific detailed information on support contracts.
Finaly you should take a common sense approach, redact anything that you wouldn’t shout accross a crowded room.
